Vintage Shopping Bristol - Rhubarb Jumble

Vintage Shopping Bristol
I know I've mentioned this on the blog before but being spoilt for choice with Gloucester Rd, Montpelier & Stokes Croft on my door step means that I don't make the effort to venture to other parts of Bristol as much as I should. One place I would definitely like to spend more time exploring is Bedminster's North Street with its independent shops, pubs and lovely looking eateries there's certainly a lot going on 'south of the river' - just think of all the new places to try for brunch! One such lovely shop sitting pretty and proud on North Street selling all sorts of vintage goodies is Rhubarb Jumble.

A couple weeks ago I popped down to an evening event Rhubarb Jumble were holding to showcase their summer stock. I shuffled around the busy shop beer-in-hand at least three times spotting different vintage treasures each time and even bumping into the lovely Kate from Heartfelt VintageThere were some beautiful summer dresses and circle skirts that caught my eye but as you can probably tell from my pictures the thing I really love about Rhubarb Jumble is their awesome collection of home wears. So many lovely tins, jars and paraphernalia that would look just splendid in my flat - but I was good and stuck to browsing not buying.

If you're after a special vintage something for yourself or you home you should definitely pop in to Rhubarb Jumble to see what you can find! Side point... it was only when writing this post that I got the Rhubarb Jumble/Rhubarb Crumble thing - silly me!

Where else do you love to shop for vintage in Bristol?

My Weekend In Numbers

This weekend was a funny one. We didn't really have any plans so had our sights set on getting lots of things ticked of our wedding to-do list. We achieved quite a bit but as Will had a lot of work to do over the weekend (boo!) we didn't get as much done as we'd hoped. Still the sun was shining and weirdly not doing a lot made the weekend feel longer somehow. I've been pretty busy recently what with starting a new job (yay!) and going along to some fun blog events. Plenty to blog about but while I work on getting those posts edited here is a weekend-in-numbers style thing in the mean time. x
120 minutes spent being enthralled and exhilarated whilst watching Mad Max: Fury Road in eye-splitting 3D at the cinema on Friday.

1/2 an hour to wolf down a Wagamama before getting to the film on time!

10 hours (at least) spent on wedding planning. Talking, thinking, list making, emailing, website building, invite designing!

22 Jump Street. It's on Netflix... not as good as the first one but still god fun.

8 eggs cooked. This was for more that just brunch I promise.

6 Episodes watched of Netflix Original Series Chefs table. Each episode of this beautify shot documentary series focuses on a different top chef from around the world. A must for any fellow foodies.

0 the number of units of alcohol consumed all weekend (well until Sunday afternoon when we rewarded our selves with a pint in the sun!)

Lovely stationary from Paperchase.
